Farmher Kate knows her stuff. Her bone in rib-eye steaks are absolutely incredible. At room temperature, we rubbed them with a coarse salt, garlic, rosemary and butter and cooked them on a cast iron pan. Wow!! Perfection!!

I have been in search of a decent steak which actually has flavor for several years now. Yes, the big box store carries prime (tender but still no flavor) and my local grocery store carries grass fed (some taste but tough as nails. This steak has it's own special flavor, meaty and earthy, it reminds me of the beef I had in Ireland which is so delicious. I highly recommend a steak like this on occasion versus lots of low quality big farmed meat. What do they feed those poor cows now?
Bone in Rib-eye steaks are my favorite! This steak, from Stillman's Farm, did not disappoint. Tender, flavorful, beautifully marbled this "small" steak paired with crisp baked jacket potatoes served with butter and sour cream, fresh baby spinach sautéed in a drizzle of olive oil with minced garlic, and a bold bottle of Merlot made for a wonderfully satisfying meal for my husband and I to share.
These are my favorite steaks to prepare at home! I like to let them rest in EVOO, garlic, and herbs overnight before grilling them over charcoal.
