Responsible food at an affordable price

Buying meatbucks from Stillman's makes sense. I don't eat a lot of meat, and when I do, I want to know it comes from a responsible farm-her. Kate's food is delicious, and with meatbucks I get a discount, which really helps with the food budget.

Wonderful in every way

My wife & I love purchasing our chicken & pork from Kate’s farm: the product is exceptional but just as satisfying is the sense of personal, almost family-like connection we have with Kate & her staff. Love it!

Meat bucks - what a deal!

I've been buying Stillman's meats for several years at the farmer's markets in Cambridge and Somerville, and all the meats are the best I've had! I've finally signed up for meat bucks and so now the dollars go farther!

always Stillmans

We have been meat-buckers for quite a while, and it has been well worth it—easy and fun. We purchase chickens, pork butt, and bacon all the time among many other things. Then, we are spoiled when someone feeds us any of those that aren't the quality we get from Stillmans!!! Among special favorites, we have had really delicious hams that go a long way because they taste so good. I'd better order one soon to serve some wintertime guests. Our longtime relationship with the Stillmans has been truly lovely and satisfying.

Good and Good for Us

A year or so ago, when I stopped (as I often do) at the SQM stand at the Charles River farmers market, I had just received a mail order delivery from D'Artagnan. I concede that I'm a little slow, but it finally dawned on me that that was nuts! Why wasn't I giving my money to Kate? Equal or better quality, great value, family owned, committed to sustaining the local agricultural economy, and just up the road in central Mass. So I plunked down a grand for my initial Meatbucks share, which I recently re-upped and feel ridiculously good about doing. For small-scale farming to survive in this country we're going to need to figure out how to scale up, retaining the quality and character of the farmers market experience while significantly expanding capacity and distribution. SQM is a leader in that effort. I'd be honored to support them even if the food wasn't as extraordinarily good as it is. Thanks so much!
